Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Day 3

We woke up Thursday morning to a TON of snow and a little cabin fever...

Jay and I went for a drive to pick up bagels for everyone. He had a lot of fun driving in the snow and is now on a mission to get his old K5 blazer back from his Dad and back into driving condition. He was a big 4-wheeler in high school and I have to admit that I loved his beast of a truck too.

The main street of my mom's neighborhood

This baby has been naughty with throwing food/cups/silverware, etc. He sits in time out a lot now. I had to take this pic of him in his timeout spot at Gigi's.

we went out for another jaunt in the snow after breakfast. The snow fall was sooo heavy and the flakes were huge. Again, Emma Cate's favorite activity was eating the snow!

same sled 27 years later. These things make me so happy! I'm so glad my parents saved this sled and I am so thankful for this little girl I have to put in it. I am thankful for infertility in that it has made me appreciate these little things sooooo much. I am well aware of what a gift my babies are.

We were sooo excited that Daddy's work was cancelled today and he finally got to sled with the kids!

I love this little comparison shot of my dad with me and Jay with Emma Cate. We're both in the same sled!

Not a super happy snowman

I was pretty terrified when he sent her down the (short) hill by herself!

my guys!

our snowy little family. love that you can see little Shep busting out of my jacket!

My dad is always sending us snow pictures of his place in New Jersey so I took this one of my mom to send to him! It is so rare that we get this much snow in Charlotte.

Gigi was trying to convince Emma Cate to make a snow angel.

not a fan!

This baby fell asleep sitting up! The snow much have really worn him out!

During nap, my mom and I escaped to pick up some stabilizer for shirts she was planning to applique for our upcoming trip. We stopped by my house to check on a package. No package but plenty of pretty snow!

We left my mom's house and headed home Thursday evening after dinner. We had lots of laundry and packing to do for our upcoming trip to Philly/Jersey/NYC. My mom sent me this text of the cute shirts she made for the twins' first flight!
