I met with the lactation consultant on a Monday morning. The appointment went well and she didn't think I had mastitis but was going to set me up with preventative antibiotics. Later that afternoon I was feeling way worse. Like couldn't even drive. My sister and her fiancé watched the twins and my mom drove Shep and I to my doctor. Turns out I had pneumonia. Crazy. Since Jay was out of town we stayed at my mom's for a few days while she and my sister took care of us. Thankfully the pneumonia helped to reduce my supply and nursing became so much easier! We are doing fabulous now and only pumping 15 extra ounces a day instead of the 40 I was doing before!
