The Hospital

We ended up staying in the hospital from Tuesday-Sunday. After delivery, I wasn't in the best shape physically. Yes, I was sore from the c-section but the meds were taking care of that. My blood pressure wouldn't go down and my hemoglobin count was really low. It was nice to rest and relax. We sent the babies to the nursery every night at 12 and would get them back at either 6 or 9 for their morning feeds. We worked with the lactation consultants on breastfeeding and I pumped for the evening feeds. We were able to meet a few pediatricians from our practice, Holden got circumcised (and did fabulous afterwards), and we just enjoyed spending time as a new family.  The time went by in a blur but we had a nice time visiting with family and getting to know our twins. We had some fabulous nurses and felt so well taken care of. It was a great experience. By Sunday, all of our family had gone home and we were antsy to get home and get our life started with our new babies.
