Christmas Eve

Doesn't everyone spend Christmas Eve in a shark hat?
We kept our normal tradition of shopping on Christmas Eve. We went to some of the outlets in Blowing Rock and I got some great things at J.Crew. We headed downtown to Mast General Store to meet my Dad and Jay for the last of our Christmas Eve shopping.

We returned home to the cabin to continue our Christmas Eve traditions. (Okay so making cornhole boards isn't really our tradition but my sister was making these for her boyfriend and Jay and Dad were her helpers!) We hung out with the babies some (they LOVE their johnny jumpers!) and then mom and I went to pick up Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut on Christmas Eve is a tradition my Grandmother started. Our family always shopped late on Christmas Eve and no one made it back to cook in time so we all decided to just meet at Pizza Hut. We've been doing it for years. Sometimes we go there and sometimes we bring it in. It was much easier with the babes to bring it in this year!

(my sister is so cute)

After pizza it was time to bake some cookies. My youngest sister Bo has a great recipe for sugar cookies that hold their shape. I'll have to get the recipe from her.

I ALWAYS wait until the last minute to wrap presents. My Dad grabbed the camera and took a few action shots of me.

Ready for Christmas Morning!

Another tradition in my family is matching PJ's. We all wear the same ones. This year it was difficult to find jammies that fit infants-adults but Hannah Andersson came through!
