Baby #3 (or #4)- We're doing another FET!

I can't believe I haven't blogged about this yet! We are undergoing treatments to become pregnant with baby #3 and #4. Yup that is right. We've decided to put in two eggs again. I would LOVE another set of twins. Jay is iffy on 4 kids. He is way more comfortable with 3 but I know he'd be an amazing father to four!

We knew we wanted more kids after the twins. We decided we would wait until they were a year old and I finished breastfeeding. Right before their birthday we met with Dr. Wing at Reach and decided to proceed. I started taking birth control pills to get things started and we've been doing lupron injects and just added estrogen patches a few days ago. It looks like we'll do the transfer on July 29th or 30th!

This time around everything is so different. With two little ones to chase I don't have a ton of time to devote to thinking about this next pregnancy. Last time we were soooo desperate for a baby and our lives completely revolved around getting pregnant. Don't get me wrong, I don't want this baby (babies) any less than I wanted the first two; it is just amazing how great being on the other side of infertility makes you feel about getting pregnant. I can only guess that this is what is probably feels like for most fertile couples. We are definitely laid back about this potential pregnancy and I'm hoping that tactic is helpful in case this transfer doesn't work out. I am praying that I don't feel the same devastation that I did with the first unsuccessful IVF attempt. I am hoping that having two amazing babies that I cherish will help soften the blow if this doesn't work out.  We are definitely apprehensive and won't share any news until the pregnancy reaches that precious 12 week mark. All that said, we really are so excited to begin this next chapter. We've discussed staying in our current house or moving, and the possibility of purchasing a new car to accommodate our growing family. We've also decided that this will be my last year of work if I do indeed get pregnant. Lots of big ifs and possibilities lie ahead. Overall, we are both feeling relaxed, optimistic, and excited to see what FET #2 has in store for us!
