Week 16

Week 15-16 was not the best in this pregnancy journey. I had a lot of sickness, some weird pains, high emotions and crazy nerves trying to find out the genders of our babies!

I woke up this morning with a nice little trip to the porcelain throne for a "good morning" from my babies and a supportive back rub from my hubby.  They just like for me to know they are alive and well. Ha. Luckily the nausea is pretty much over; just random occurrences of sickness. My emotions have been a bit on the crazy side this week. I'm crying at the drop of a hat and Jay can't say anything beside, "yes, of course I'll do that for you honey" without bringing on the waterworks. He got  the front windows tinted on my car yesterday and I burst out in tears because it looks like as my dad calls it , "the pimp mobile".

There has also been a ton of drama with cheerleading this week. I'm at school from 7-7 almost everyday for the next two weeks (definitely contributing to my emotional breakdowns at home). Moms are upset their daughters are practicing too much, and some are upset because we aren't prepared enough for the upcoming competition. You can't please everyone.

I got out yesterday for our monthly neighborhood ladies club meeting and had a great time hanging out! I got lots of great baby tips, a pass to Harris YMCA consignment sale, and an offer from a twin mom to give me all her newborn and matching outfits depending on my twins gender. I still cannot believe how many women are so generous with their old stuff. We are so thankful for everything we are receiving. It is a tremendous help!

Pregnancy Highlights:
Today's Date: Wednesday, February 1, 2012
How Far Along: 16 weeks
Size of babies: Babies are the size of avacados and are measuring 4.6 inches.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: According to my scale I am the same as last week. At the doctor on Monday I was a pound less than I was on Thursday. I was a little stressed and my wonderful father pointed out that the babies are surviving just fine as I had plenty enough weight on me before becoming pregnant. Um thanks Dad.
Maternity Clothes: Pea in the Pod had a promotion this week and I got a lot of new cute maternity shirts. Still on the hunt for a maternity pair of navy blue skinny pant/jeans.
Gender: I'm not guessing this week since I sort of know what I'm having!
Movement:  Still can't feel the babies move. Hopefully in the next month or so!
Sleep: I got a snoogle and am loving it. I'm staying up a little later and waking up just fine.
What I miss: This week was prosecco. I bought a punch for the party this weekend and am going to be jealous that I can't have a glass!
Cravings: Food! My appetite increased a bit this week. I had a huge craving for hamburger helper (yuck), chinese with brown rice, and birthday cake this week.
Symptoms: Morning and evening sickness and headaches. The constipation is gone but I'm not happy about its replacement...
Best Moment this week: Learning the semi-genders!

your baby's the size of an avocado!
Now, she's about 4.6 inches long and weighs about 3.5 ounces, and she's big enough that your doctor may be able to hear her heartbeat.
