Week 16-17 started out a little rough but quickly became awesome! I have gotten a lot of energy back and can stay up until 10 or 11! My appetite has returned in full force and I've definitely gained weight this week.
My family arrived Friday night and we all pitched in the prepare for the gender reveal party. I want to send a tremendous THANK YOU to my sister, Bo. She got in town early Friday and helped me with all the last minute tedious decorations, went to school with me late Friday night when my printer broke at home so that we could print all the printables from my work computer, did a huge grocery trip with me at 10pm and helped prep food until the wee early hours of Saturday morning! I could not have done this without you!!!
I spent Saturday morning running errands with my mom. Such a fun way to spend time with her prepping for the party and talking about babies all morning! The party was great and I am so thankful of all of my friends that came. We had a great time announcing the genders.
Jay has been out of town again this week and will return this evening. I've been busy at school and its kept me from thinking about him being gone (although two nights ago I had a TERRIBLE time sleeping because of my watchdog Sophie and was not too happy that Jay was gone!).
Pregnancy Highlights:
Today's Date: Wednesday, February 8, 2012
How Far Along: 17 weeks
Size of babies: Babies are the size of onions and are measuring 5.1 inches.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I am still two pounds under pre-pregnancy but that means that I've gained 3 pounds this week. Holy Cow. Need to stop eating chocolate cake and switch to veggies now that my food aversions are subsiding!
Maternity Clothes: Yes, I've had several comments that I've really started showing this week.
Gender: Girl- Emma Cate and Boy- Holden
Movement: I think I'm making it up in my head that I'm feeling flutters because I want to feel them move so badly!
Sleep: Going really great when my crazy dog doesn't wake me up!
What I miss: COKE! We had to two liter at our house this week and I wanted it so bad! I may have drank a small glass and smelled it like it was wine.
Cravings: Chocolate Cupcake, Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Cookies
Symptoms: Still doing the morning throw up when I brush my teeth but feeling MUCH better after that! No round ligament pain this week and my constipation is gone!
Best Moment this week: Announcing the genders and starting to buy things for the babes!
Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. His umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes now feature one-of-a-kind prints.
