1. I LOVE these sweaters. My sisters ordered them from Baby Knits and More for the kids for Christmas. I ordered them a little big, hoping that they can wear them in the fall too!
2. Loving these baby Patagonia vests. Jay's parents bought these for the kids at preschool. I like them because they are pretty lightweight and I feel comfortable keeping them on when I put the kids in their carseats. I love the wigeon jackets but they are too bulky to put on the kids before strapping them in.
3. READING- I worried sooo much about reading. We really didn't read to the kids as babies. Call us bad parents but after trying to put down two cranky babies by yourself (one of us was either coaching or taking classes at night) we felt happy just to have clean diapers on them before bed :) As a teacher, I REALLY wanted to foster a love of reading in my kids. Luckily, by spreading books throughout our home, the kids have really discovered them on their own and love reading/being read to. We have a huge book basket beside our fireplace and they love choosing stories. The book basket has all board books in it so that the kids can get into it by themselves and we don't worry about them tearing the pages. The bookshelf in their room houses all their paper-page books. These are generally what we read to them at night because we can control them and keep them from tearing the pages.
If you are working on your collection or buying books for a friend's baby, I HIGHLY recommend buying the board book version of your favorite book. My kids love the BIG board books too! We love The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Go Wolfpack Go!, Sheep in A Jeep, Goodnight Moon, all the Sandra Boyton books, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Hello Mr. Wuf!, and First 100 Animals. We also loved Fly Santa Fly and Merry Christmas (they seriously FOUGHT over this book!) over Christmas Season.
4. Loving these hats. I swear everyone at preschool sports these cuties and my babies love them. I love that I can tie them under their chins with a string. Best way to keep them on.
5. Hunter Boots on babies are about the cutest thing ever. We bought them a tiny bit big so we would wear them with wellie socks now and with thin socks later. We wore them with thin socks on this particular day and they kept falling off. Whoops! We came home from the park with dirty socks :)
I just purchased my first pair of Hunter Wellies and I'm in love!! The twins will have to sport these when they get a little older!!!!
